So Yes'ish
Talk about groove rock. It's amazing. I can relate. The keys guitar is so groovy. The Xylophone at the forefront is of a point of interst to me because you play like you actually know what you're doing. I'm assuming it's a sample on your keyboard. Anyway, it's great and fits in well with the song. Awesome job.... Wow, this is surprisingly good....

Rick Wakeman, Keith Emerson is that you?
I loved this song. I listen to and review a lot of the instrumental rock - much of it is guitar solos over power rock ... and its all the same. This might be one of the best instrumental tracks on GB. The keys are excellent, the percussion, bass, everything is excellent. The mixing and mastering are perfect. A great job!

Impressive
Great piano intro, followed by a very King Crimson/Zappa-like piece of music. Impressive! I like the retro melotron/strings (?) in the background. Very impressive composition, I think you have to listen a couple of times to FULLY appreciate it (but I already love it!).
Great production also, very transparant, every instrument has it's own place in the mix and is clearly audible (an achievement because there are lots of them)! Drums are very tight and sound ok.

hmmm!
wow, i didn't expect the creative piano riff to start the song, but i appreciate it. there is some definite creativity and talent behind this music. i think i'm hearing a bass guitar too, playing off of the piano and keyboard, which sounds good. the drummer throws in a beat that's not too ridiculous but different enough to change up the feel to the song. i'm definitely impressed with this song, and this is something i pretty much never say when i'm reviewing something on here. good work guys!
- afamiliarblue from Tempe, Arizona on 12Apr2008

well done
interesting start to this one, kind of picked up an Emerson Lake and Palmer kinds vibe for a minute, this is well produced and very interesting, I would expect that this would work well as back ground music for tv/movies, well done

piano progressivness
jethro tull on the piano? nice wierd tempo kinda like 80s progressive rock. the bass part is cool. i think (yes) has the market for this type of music. the drums are great, the whole song is.

Now that's a piece of music!
Cool piano at the intro. Wow, cool layering there. The synths compliment it. My band needs a keyboardist - you up for it? I like the drums - nice tone. I like this because it has weird timing...it's not straight forward and keeps me guessing the groove. Great piece of music here!
- Jim_L from Boston, Massachusetts on 17Mar2008

very interesting
I love how the piano player thinks.
lots of talent there. good bass lines. very clean mix with no baggage. again, the piano is awesome!!++

Subtle
Great sounding production: crisp, well defined and transparant. All instruments stand out very well and have there place in the sound spectrum: compliments!
Very intelligent and musical composition and arrangement. Together with the use of 'unorthodox' instruments (well, for rock music) and sounds you create a very entertaining, moody and surprising track (yeah, and very original!). Very skilfully played also...: percussion/drums are very subtle but still with the right drive, great musicianship.
It's full of tension and unexpected changes... Love it!

Memorable for Midi
This was a very well written tune...I really liked the interplay of the piano and bass at the beginning. Individually they were playing fairly simple figures, but mixing them together made for a very original tune. The use of the different sounds made for an interesting and dynamic piece. I liked the fact that it didn't sound like a showcase of keyboard sounds even though there were so many sounds used. I also liked how this had a through composed feel - the development of the melodies was almost classical in nature. Overall, very impressive. Well done!
- lidpeeler from Dallas, Texas on 14Jun2007

Nice structure with a jazzy feel !
Nice bouncy keyboard/piano playing to start this one out - with bass and bass drum following along on notes. I really like the fingering of the keyboard movement. The drums have a great "off-beat" that is fantastic - I really like the tight snare drum sound for this. A really nice jazzy feel to it. Nice runs on the bass during the space - which leads to the mirimba playing - very nice indeed ! The mirimba leads into a more mysterious part of the song at 1:17 mark - with keyboard string sounds - uuuuuuuuuuuh - nice quick fill on the mirimba at the 1:30 mark. Very nice bass lines leading to the ending which start at the 1:46 mark...a nice desending scale indeed.
Keyboard plays a trippy sound over the whole ending part. This arrangement is great, well-written and well-thought out. All the instruments were pronounced and could be heard throughout - full marks for all musicians. I picture this band as being a professional jazz band with an incredible knowledge of music and it's origins. I'm off to become a fan now !

Nicely Done
Quite rarely are instruments such as acoustic guitar, piano and violin been combined. So the sound they produce together is to say the least - original. Which is wierd because these instruments are very common.

To the song, it sounds very smooth and well rehearsed. And it's something that just flies by and if you're in the mood for some pointless traveling through time it will take you along. In some other songs I've disliked the rather monotonic basic melodies but in this it sets up room for those lead instruments which vary a bit and for some reason this song sounds to be so amazingly alive and organic. That banjolike guitarsound in the latter part of the song was good.

Well, for me this is perfect music to listen to after a long week at work.

I Dream of the Medditeranian Sea
That's the truth. This is a beautiful piece. I am thinking about the whole spanish and italian area of the world, I can see a man sitting by the sea playing his guitar. It's awesome. Great job!
- SULKlowdKingdom from Hagerstown, Maryland on 3Apr2007

Curious enjoyment
I really like the blend of strings and piano. The arrangement is complex yet every instrument sits perfectly in the mix and complements each other beautifully.
The guitar sounds very warm and the unusual picking pattern is engaging.
I love the mood of this track as it encourages contemplative introspection and relaxed enjoyment.

This is some great jazz
This is definitely some classic jazz. Between the drums and guitar it is hard to choose which is complementing who. It is a very good arrangement. The keyboard fits nicely in the mix also. This has a good beat and just keeps going. A pretty good song.
- keith_phillips from Hyrum, Utah on 12May2008

Horns sweet...guitars are rockin'
Cool arrangement.... i like the horns/guitar/drum mix! Guitars are funky and the drums keep the tempo movin' Levels are good and the production is solid- On my playlist!

Damn..who are these people
right from the start you can tell these are very accomplished musicians. The intrumentation and playing ability is great! Really diverse in it's sounds. The piano is very nice, not boring. Sometimes piano blends into the background and you just get nuances, but this really pops with the piano. It's almost a showcase of every instrument, very encompassing, and nothing sounds out of place. That had to be a challenge with the number of layers involved here..nice job. This a very long tune, but again it doesn't just plod along, it keeps changing, and re-inventing itself with every new change, like painting a picture...you don't get to see what it looks like until it is done. And I am definitely going the distance, I couldn't give up now after have come so far...I must see it through to the end. Oooh nice breakdown around 7:00. God...who are you people? Did you just come on here to rub it in all of our faces?? I'm just kidding!!! I saw it through til the end and I am happy I did. Overall:very nice musical landscape...not just a song...a journey..nicely done!

Guitars ringing like bells
I love acoustic ANYTHING, and this track has my favorites in spades. Chiming acoustic guitars, fluttering flutes, melodic mournful bass lines and accented piano riffs.

I edit video for a living and this should be in my production music library (that;s a good thing) Midway it began to remind me of Mike Oldfield and "Tubular Bells" - if that's what you were going for, you rang the bell big time! Tight arrangement with intertwining melodies. Worth a second listen and then a third...and a fourth. Great job!

Appalachian Chamber Music
A nice quiet lullaby-esque tune. One can picture the grand opera house filled with folks in overalls and boots. It really does seem to be a blend of classical and old-time. Plus, I'm a sucker for anything with a melodica in it. Put yer younguns to sleep with this one. Nice job

Past as present
Were we able to record music a hundred and fifty years ago this song might well have been done then. That rates as an accomplishment of sorts. The music is lovely - well played and well recorded. The general mood is pensive and pleasant, just the sort of thing to enjoy a Sunday brunch by. Clearly the performers are skilled and take their craft seriously.

Intertwining guitars - YEAH!
That's some pretty cool guitar work, my friend. I love how the two guitars compliment each other in a very positive way. Very relaxing and entertaining. The sound you got on your acoustic is admirable too.

Excellent Melody
The driving piano melody is certainly the star of this piece, though the woodwinds in the second section are exquisite. The changes are excellent, especially with the addition of the guitars. I listened to the entirety of the composition, despite it's length. Wonderful, gorgeous work.

Frank Zappa lives!Very high skills.
Starts with a really weird rhythm idea. Reminds me of Frank Zappa´s production "Jazz from hell".
This song is nothing to be played in a big store :)
It has a good skill of arranging and rhythmical weirdness. The sounds are ok. I can feel the spirit of the Zappa album all through the song!
Really good playing of keyboards, guitars and interesting drum beats.
For myself, I enjoy this tune a lot, I love your ideas! But I can imagine that many people would not, especially non-musicians. All Zappa Fans are behind you! Keep it up!

Surprise!
A brilliant opening to draw the listener in with the spiraling piano line. It slows down and brings an orchestra in. Going off of a whim, this sounds like a midi performance--a good one, though. Very interesting melodic lines, plenty of contemporary techniques. You do know how to write lines! This is pretty durn good.
I like the full use of the piano's range! That's quite nice, you don't hear that too often. The strings are very well arranged, and winds used sparingly but to great advantage.
Excellent job!

Traffic
This is way cool,,Sounds like a conversation...say in the morning, getting ready for work..talking to self in a biig hurry and then out to the world to interact in a metropolus
..I like the conversations between the keyboards...some people might call it jibberish but I call it creative soundscapes...I really like the xylophone..It would be great with a cartoon behind it...
Thanks later, Lonnie

Is this the new Gong?
There are some creative melody lines in this song. Quite original stuff. If reminding me of anything, it must be those wonderful recordings by the group "Gong". Technically rather juicy composition - I'd love to hear a live recording of this stuff...
